If you change your mind about printing a document or urgently need to make changes to it, it becomes necessary to cancel printing on the printer. Inexperienced users barbarously remove the printer cord from the outlet, which often leads to equipment breakdown, but there are also more "civilized" methods
Instructions
Step 1
Look in the lower right corner, in the taskbar area, for the printer icon.
Step 2
Double click this icon. A window will open with information about the status of the printer, where you will see a list of documents to be printed
Step 3
Select the document you need.
Click once on his name.
Step 4
In the toolbar, select the Document command, then Undo (in some versions of Windows, this command may be called Undo Print).
Step 5
Click Yes (OK on some versions of Windows).

Close the print jobs window if you have removed all the documents you want from the list.) To do this, run the command Printer, then "Close".
Step 7
After that, you will be returned to Word to edit your document. Note, however, that the printer has its own RAM, so printing will not stop instantly. If the printer managed to print several pages of a large document, then it can print 2-3 more and only then stop printing.

If you are using a network printer, it may not be possible to cancel printing from your computer. In this case, you will have to contact your system administrator.
