Doctor Web has gained a reputation as a good anti-virus program and is deservedly popular with users. Antivirus protects against various types of threats: viruses, hacker attacks, Trojans. Software manufacturers monitor the relevance of the databases. The program cannot be deleted or turned off without confirmation. The product is paid and requires activation.
Instructions
Step 1
To activate Dr. Web, follow these steps. Purchase a licensed antivirus program in a store or through the manufacturer's website. The manufacturer provides an opportunity to download a free version of the software in order to study the quality of its work. After the end of the trial period, you will have to purchase a license.
Step 2
To register the product, you will need a serial number, which is issued to the buyer when purchasing an antivirus in electronic form or on a disk in a boxed version. If the program was purchased in the second version, the box will contain information about the serial number. This number cannot be transferred to third parties according to the license agreement.
Step 3
Go to the registration page and enter the sixteen-digit code in the form for filling, which is indicated on the insert or which, after payment, is sent to you by e-mail, if the program is purchased online, as well as personal data.
Step 4
Download the drweb32.zip archive file containing the drweb32.key key. The archive must be unpacked into the folder with the files of the installed anti-virus and then restart the PC.
Step 5
If the anti-virus program is not yet installed, the archive is unpacked to any convenient and accessible place on the disk. When the application is being installed, when requesting a license, specify the path to the Dr. Web key file.
Step 6
When registering, you will be asked to indicate the previous license. If you are registering a software product for the first time, then skip this step, just enter the current license next. If registration is renewed, then at the appropriate stage specify the path to the file of the previous key, and if its validity period has not expired yet, then the remaining number of days is added to the new validity period.
Step 7
You can renew the registration of antivirus software already in use in the program window. To do this, you need to click on the green spider icon and select the "Get a license key file" command. Then the archive with the key is also downloaded, which should be unzipped and the path to the key file must be specified in the corresponding download field.
Step 8
After checking and confirming the validity of the key, a form will open for entering contact information, which must be filled out. If the specified information meets the requirements, a message will be displayed in the registration dialog box that the program has been successfully activated. After that, the computer should be restarted.
