The main and most often the only reason for the noise of the computer system unit is a faulty or clogged fan. Sometimes this applies to several coolers at once. To get rid of the unpleasant noise, it is necessary to clean the above devices.

Step 1
Turn off your computer and disassemble the system unit to gain access to the required fans. Disconnect the cooler from the device to which it is attached. Perhaps it will be the case of the system unit.
Step 2
Be sure to disconnect power from the fan. To do this, disconnect the cables from the cooler to the motherboard or the hardware to which it was attached. Locate the sticker on the top center of the fan and remove it, but do not discard it.
Step 3
If, after removing the sticker, you see the axis of rotation of the cooler, then just drop a small amount of grease on it. This can be done using machine oil or some type of silicone grease. Do not use sunflower oil, because this will damage the cooler.
Step 4
If you find a rubber or plastic cover under the sticker, remove it. Remove the circlip located on the pivot and the rubber gasket underneath.
Step 5
Remove the blades from the axle. Apply a small amount of grease to the resulting hole and to the pivot pin. Collect the cooler. Clean the blades themselves from dust. To do this, use a cotton swab dipped in a weak alcohol solution.
Step 6
Reinstall the cooler. Connect power to the device. Turn on your computer. If the noise level has not been reduced enough, install the SpeedFan program.
Step 7
Run this utility. On the main working tab, you will see several devices and their temperature. Below is a list of fans. To decrease the rotation speed of the required cooler, press the Down arrow several times. Please note that significantly reducing the fan speed can damage your computer. Achieve the optimal ratio of rotation speeds to the temperature of the devices. Minimize the program by clicking the Minimize button.
