Using the same operating system, you involuntarily get used to its buttons, icons and tabs. But what if you bought a laptop or computer, and even the Start menu bar looks new in it? With simple steps, you can return the usual look of some tabs.
Instructions
Step 1
Right-click on the panel next to the start. Select Properties from the context menu that appears.
Step 2
The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window opens on the Taskbar tab. Here you can change the settings for the taskbar itself.
Step 3
To change the Start Menu, go to the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties pane and the Start Menu tab. So you've come to the most important place where you can change the appearance and other settings of the Start menu. If you like the more modern look of this menu, then you can select "Start Menu" and click the "Apply" button. In this case, the window in which the settings are changed remains open. If the changes are not to your liking, you can change them back.
Step 4
If you are used to the simple look of the Start menu, select the Classic Start Menu. The picture will display a thumbnail of how the menu will look after the changes.
Step 5
Each proposed option also has a button "Customize …", click it if you want to apply individual settings for a particular style. Here you can change the size of the icons (large icons are most often used), the number of programs in the Start menu that are launched most often.
Step 6
Add Run, Search, Network Neighborhood commands to the menu bar as needed. You can also add the menu "Favorites", "My Pictures", "My Music" or make their subfolders in the form of a menu.
Step 7
If you are an experienced user, in the All Programs submenu you can add an access button to the Administrative Tools panel, as well as to the Control Panel section, which will open as a separate menu.
