Instructions
Step 1
There are many reasons why you need to record audio. Of course, this method is not suitable for professional sound recording. But for recording congratulations, lyrics, some of your poems or songs, as well as if you want to listen to yourself from the outside, it will do. And most importantly, it requires a minimum of programs, effort and time.
First, connect your microphone to your computer. It can be either a separate special microphone or computer headphones with a sound reception function.
Step 2
Click the “Start” button, located by default in the lower left corner of your desktop. Then click on “Programs”, then “Accessories”, then “Entertainment” and click on “Sound recording”. A sound recording window appears in front of you.
To adjust the sound quality, click “File”, then “Properties”, then “Convert”. Set the optimal quality: PCM; 16 bit; Stereo. When finished, click OK.
Step 3
Now you need to approve the microphone and balance the sound, to exclude unnecessary sounds as much as possible. Click the “Edit” button, “Audio properties”, “Sound recording” tab, “Volume” Check the microphone, set the volume slightly higher than the minimum so that you have to speak louder, but the level of external noise will be lower. Press OK.
Step 4
You are given 1 minute to record one track. If this time is not enough for you, then you can continue recording by pressing rec. If you need less than a minute, use the stop button. Use the pause button to pause and resume recording.
There is a little trick. If you don't want to go up every minute and press the rec button to continue recording, you can record an empty minute, and then insert it as many times as you need. Write down an empty minute, click “Edit”, then copy and paste the minutes as long as you like.
Step 5
To save the result, click “File”, then “Save”.
