Copying the installation files from the game disc is necessary in order to save a backup folder on the computer in case of damage to the media. There are several options for solving this problem.

Step 1
Try to copy the entire contents of the disc directly first. Insert it into the drive, cancel autorun and open "My Computer". Click on the disk icon with the right mouse button and select "Open". Select all files and folders located in its root directory while holding down the Shift key. Click Copy. Create a folder on your hard drive, right-click on an empty field and select "Paste".

Try another method by creating a disk image. To do this, first download the Alcohol 120% or DaemonTools program to your computer. Open it and select "Create disk image". In the menu that appears, specify the path to the disk from which you want to copy the game and click "Next". Specify in the next window the type of the created image (that is, its extension), the folder for storing it on the hard disk, the name of the future copy.
Step 3
Select and configure, if necessary, individual settings for creating a disk image. Then click on the "Create" button. In this case, the process of copying the contents of a disc can be very time-consuming (depending on the number of files and folders on it and their content).
Step 4
If you are unable to copy the contents of the disc or create an image of it, it means that the game program is copy-protected. You can find some ways to crack the game code on the Internet, but it's better not to. Firstly, it is prohibited by the terms of the license agreement, and secondly, it is possible that such files are infected.
Step 5
If the disk image is successfully created, then in order to start it, open the Alcohol 120% or DaemonTools program again. Select "Add Image" from the menu, and then - the previously created game disk image file. Check if the corresponding icon appears in the "My Computer" section. Click on it and check if the game is running normally.
