Step 1
It is even better to periodically install new, more advanced versions of antivirus programs, such as Kaspersky. To install a new version of Kaspersky anti-virus application, you need to remove the old activation. How to do it? First of all, you need to disable protection. Otherwise, the program will not allow making changes. To do this, open a Kaspersky window by clicking on the corresponding icon on the desktop or in the Start menu.

Go to the "Settings" tab. Opposite the "Enable protection" command, uncheck the box, ignoring the threat warnings, and click Ok. Turn off Kaspersky. Just turn it off by right-clicking on the anti-virus icon in the right corner of the taskbar and turning on the "Exit" command.

Open the Kaspersky window again. Log in to the License application. Remove the old key by clicking on the cross to the right of it. Then click the "Activate new license" button. The system will ask you about the activation method. Select the command "Activate with a key", then click "Next". This method involves activating antivirus software using a special license file.
Step 4
In the window that opens, next to the "Key file" line, click the "Browse" button. Find the Kaspersky activation key that you received when purchasing a new version or a new license. It will be displayed in the "Key file" line. The system will inform you that the activation was successful. Complete the installation.
Step 5
The program can now be closed. The new version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been successfully activated. It is also worth noting that for more reliable operation, the license file must be copied to an information carrier, since the personal computer system can crash, and the license will automatically disappear.
