If there is a need to install a more modern version of the program, it is not at all necessary to remove the old one. It is enough to delete the old activation code and enter the new one, and then update the existing program to the latest version.

Step 1
Download the new activation code. It is best to download it directly from the vendor of the program, so that later there will be no problems with updating it. Go to the developer's official website and order a new activation key. To do this, fill out a special form.

Then transfer the payment from an electronic wallet or via SMS. In the application, be sure to pay attention to the email address. Indicate the one that was used to register the used program - the activation code will be sent by the developer to it.

Check your mailbox - as soon as you receive a new key, you can remove the activation code you used earlier. Open the program. If we are talking about antivirus, then first disconnect the Internet connection.
Step 4
Then disable your antivirus protection. Without this, the program will not allow you to manipulate the activation code. Reboot your computer. Run the antivirus and go to the "License Management" tab.
Step 5
Find the line with the application activation key. Find next to it an icon depicting a red cross, or an ordinary "Delete" button. Click on it. Confirm the action.
Step 6
Then enter the new activation code and apply the changes. Activate protection and run the antivirus to update. If you want to remove the activation code in another type of application, you just need to go to the "Settings" or "Parameters" tab and remove the activation code; do not forget to add a new one, because the program will not work without activating a license.

On the other hand, if you are satisfied with the current version of the program, you can simply “prohibit” it from contacting the Internet by setting the appropriate access settings for applications on your computer. To do this, go to the "Control Panel", double-click on the "Security Center" icon and adjust the settings of the Windows firewall.
