Having connected the Internet in the office, any boss will want to know what he pays for, especially when there are traffic restrictions. To do this, you can implement a UserGate server and get statistics and control over the channel.

Instructions
Step 1
Download UserGate software to configure the UserGate server on your local network. To do this, follow the link https://www.usergate.com/download/, select the product you want to download. Wait for the download to complete, install the program. Select the C: / UserGate / folder for installation. Next, register the program
Step 2
Configure the UserGate server, first add users to it. To do this, turn on the client computers; to configure the UserGate proxy, you need the MAC addresses of these computers. To create a user, go to the "Settings" tab, on the left in the hierarchical menu, select the "Users" submenu. The Default group will open. Create a user by clicking on the "Add" button. Select the method of user authorization - by IP-Address. Enter the computer address as a login. Next, enter the password (MAC), you can find it by clicking on the icon of the network card. Specify the computer name in the properties, select the "Allow" checkbox. In other tabs, do not make any changes. Repeat this procedure for all computers on your network.
Step 3
Configure HTTP, enter the required port (3128), check the "Allow" box, set further settings as needed. Go to the Advanced menu, click the Save Configuration button, save the ini file, close the program. Open the folder that contains the server. The saved file is located here. Create copies of this file (the number of copies must match the number of users created). Rename each copy, use the computer name as the file name, for example "Comp1.ini".
Step 4
Create files to turn off the internet. Go to UserGate, change the last character in the MAC address of each user to L. Apply for each user. Then go to the "Advanced" tab, click on the "Save configuration" button. Similar to the previous point, save a copy of the settings file for each computer separately.
Step 5
Create a file named Remote.bat in the same folder. Enter the following text in this file: CD C: / UserGate; LoadConf.exe C: /UserGate/%1_%2.ini. save your changes.
