Instructions
Step 1
To recover such files, use third-party software that is designed specifically for this purpose. Download the popular file recovery software called Un Delete Plus. You can find it on the official website of the developer undeleteplus.com.
Step 2
Install this utility to the system directory of the local disk. All such programs should be saved in this directory. Next, run the program. You will see a large window in which you need to select the local drives from which you will restore information.
Step 3
You can insert flash drives into your computer in order to recover information from them too. However, you should not immediately search for data from all your flash drives, as well as from local disks. First, decide what you want to recover, how many files were deleted approximately. As soon as you mark the drives to search for files, click on the "Start" button.
Step 4
Wait while the program scans all selected areas on your computer. Next, you will be presented with a detailed list of files available for recovery. They are all marked with colors. Green - files will be successfully restored. Yellow - the files are slightly damaged. Red - files are badly damaged and may not be recovered.
Step 5
Once all the files are marked, click on the "Restore" button. Save the recovered files to a portable storage medium, as writing to logical disks of a computer can simply overwrite deleted information, preventing it from being restored. If you subsequently need to re-recover any files from storage media or local disks, use this software.
Step 6
Keep important data in a safe place so you don't have to recover information. Add all important files to the archive. To do this, right-click on the folder and select "Add to archive". In the "Protection" tab, set an access password so that the antivirus program cannot delete important files. Keep copies of the files on portable media.
