Now, probably, there are few PC users who have not had to deal with programs that create virtual disk images. For example, most video games downloaded from the Internet are in the image file format. To install such a game, you need to create a virtual disk. And a problem may arise when after uninstalling the program with which this disk was created, the virtual drive itself is not deleted. Also, after installing some games, virtual disks are created automatically, and after their removal they are not deleted.

Instructions
Step 1
The first method, which will be considered, is suitable if, after removing the Daemon tools or Alcohol programs, you still have virtual disks in the system, and you want to delete them from there. So, click "Start" and go to "Control Panel". Find the "Administration" component and left-click on it. In the window that opens, find the "Computer Management" component. In the new window, click on the "Device Manager" component.
Step 2
A new window will appear in which there will be a list of all devices connected to the computer. In this window, find the line "DVD / CD drives". An arrow is located opposite the line. Click on it with the left mouse button, after which a list of all drives (both physical and virtual) that are on this computer will open.
Step 3
Click on the virtual disk you want to delete with the right mouse button. A context menu will appear, in which, accordingly, select the "Delete" command. The virtual disk will be removed from your computer. After completing this operation, close all open windows and restart your computer.
Step 4
If you just need to temporarily disconnect the virtual disk without completely removing it from the system, then you need to proceed as follows. Click on the icon of any of the drives that are installed on your computer with the right mouse button. Then select "Properties" in the context menu. In the window that appears, go to the "Equipment" tab. Now in the "All disks" window, click on the required virtual disk with the left mouse button. Then, at the bottom of the window, click Properties. Another window will appear in which select the "Driver" tab. Then select the "Disable" command. A dialog box will pop up, in which you confirm the disconnection of the selected device by clicking "Yes". After that, the device will be disconnected.
