Instructions
Step 1
Go through the "Start" menu to the "Control Panel". Depending on your window view, find and select either Mouse or Hardware and Sound and then Mouse. You will see the mouse settings window, which consists of several tabs.
Step 2
To accelerate the movement of the mouse pointer across the screen, go to the Pointer Options tab. You will see several fields to customize the appearance of the cursor. The first is displacement. In the special field, move the slider of the pointer movement speed from the "Down" position to the "Above" position. You will feel the new movement settings immediately by the changed speed of the pointer.
Step 3
As you increase the speed of movement, the movement of the mouse pointer can become jerky and abrupt. The accuracy of hovering over desktop objects may be reduced. In order to smooth out the influence of the increased speed of movement, put a check mark next to the parameter "Enable increased accuracy of the pointer setting". If, after activating it, the movement speed remains too high, reduce it by adjusting the position of the slider in the "Lower" - "Higher" field.
Step 4
On the same settings tab, configure other pointer parameters. For example, the initial position of the mouse in a new window. It can also be useful to enable the pointer trail to make it easier to detect the mouse on the screen, the picture of which is not too contrasting and merges with the pointer.
Step 5
Often, mouse overclocking refers to a change in its sensitivity and accuracy of aiming at objects and smoothness of movement.
