Adobe Photoshop allows you to create very complex graphic compositions. But those who are just starting to work with Photoshop may have difficulties even with the creation of the simplest geometric shapes. After practicing with simple examples, you can move on to more serious problems.

Instructions

Step 1

Photoshop allows you to create a variety of shapes and modify them as needed. Open the program, select "File" - "New" (File - New). In the window that opens, you can enter a file name and set its dimensions. You can leave the default dimensions. Click OK, a blank page will open.

Step 2

First, try creating a rectangle in Photoshop. Select a color by clicking the top color box on the toolbar (look at the very bottom). A color selection window will open - drag the sliders, select the desired color and click OK. Now select the "Rectangle" in the toolbar, click anywhere in the picture and drag the rectangle to the desired size. Release the mouse, a rectangle of the selected color will appear.

Step 3

Try inscribing a circle in the rectangle. To do this, create a new layer: "Layers" - "New" - "Layer" (Layer - New - Layer), then change the color to a contrasting color in relation to the color of the rectangle. Select the Rectangle Tool again (if not selected) and at the top of the screen click the Ellipse Tool. Click with the mouse inside the drawn rectangle, near one of the corners. Extend the ellipse to form a circle.

Step 4

Experiment with creating other shapes - polygon, rounded rectangle. Create a separate layer for each shape with a new color, this will simplify further work with the image.

Step 5

Press the F7 key, the layers window will appear. Select any layer with an object created on it. Now select the tool "Move" (Move) and try to drag the object created on the activated layer. By choosing different layers, you can freely work with the objects located on them.

Step 6

After all the work with the shapes is finished, you can merge the layers: "Layers" - "Merge Visible" (Layer - Merge Visible). After that, you will have only one layer, you can no longer move its elements. But you have access to other options for working with the image - erase, work with a brush, blur, etc. etc.

Step 7

If you need to create a triangle, use the Pen Tool. Select it, at the top of the window activate the option "Paths" (Paths). Now, with mouse clicks, create a triangle, closing its outline with the last click. Click on the path with the right mouse button, select "Stroke Path" from the context menu. The created triangle will be filled with the selected color. Similarly, you can create more complex shapes.
