Subtitles is the textual accompaniment of a video; it is used to watch movies with the original soundtrack, as additional comments to the action taking place on the screen. Also, subtitles are used when the viewer has difficulty hearing. Subtitles can be superimposed over the image or loaded from a text file; special programs are used to synchronize them with the video stream.
Instructions
Step 1
One of the programs that allows you to synchronize subtitles is the Subtitle Workshop program.
Download and install Subtitle Workshop on your computer. Run the program, in the Others menu, click on the Language item and select the language Russian. Thus, the language of the program interface will be changed.
Step 2
Download the subtitle file. If it is packed into an archive, unpack it. From the File menu, select Load Subtitles.
Step 3
Open the video file with which the subtitles will be synchronized, for example, in the Media Player program. It will be necessary to determine the time of pronouncing the first and last phrases in the film, for example, 1 minute 50 seconds and 1 hour 39 minutes 33 seconds.
Step 4
From the Subtitles menu, select Align Subtitles. In the window that opens, enter the appropriate values and click the "Align!"
Step 5
In the "File" menu, select "Save As …". The window that opens will offer a variety of save formats. Select the SubRip format, in this format the subtitles are linked to the timer of the video file.
The resulting subtitles will be synchronized with the selected video file.
