Step 1
If you need to install mods for the GTA game, download the one that suits you and is compatible with the version of the installed game. You can find them on the GTA forums as well as various resources for gamers. Download the archive with the patch to your hard drive, check it for viruses, run the file with the exe extension and press the patch button.

You will see a window for choosing a directory, select among them the folder in which the installation files of the game are located, usually games are installed in Games or Programm Files on your hard disk. Click "OK", after which the system will automatically perform the necessary manipulations with the files of the GTA game.

To launch various mods for the GTA game, use the Asi Loader program. Download the version compatible with the installed game, download the necessary mods and use them in the game using this utility.

If you want to use the patch to upgrade the game, forget about it and install the assembly you need separately. The version of this game will always remain unchanged until you reinstall it on your computer, even if you supposedly find a suitable patch - at best it will simply not work, at worst - it will contain viruses.
Step 5
To install patches for other games, use the same sequence as described in the first paragraph. This applies to almost all modern computer games and applications.
Step 6
If you downloaded the patch not in the form of an exe-file, but in the form of data to replace the existing ones, carefully read the attached instructions. Go to the directory specified in it (or use the search by file name), make backup copies of those that are to be replaced in the future, copy the downloaded objects to these directories, deleting the previous ones.
Step 7
To install the mods into the Sims 2 game, copy the contents to the Downloads folder in the user documents in the EA Games, Sims 2 directory. After that, restart the game twice and view the materials marked with an asterisk.
