Extensions for browsers, including Firefox, are very popular with users. With their help, the web browser gets additional functionality that can be customized for specific needs.
Instructions
Step 1
Start the Mozilla Firefox program. After that, click on the orange button in the upper left corner and select "Settings", in the "General" tab, click on the "Configure add-ons" button, or after clicking on the orange button, immediately select "Add-ons". In the window that appears, select the "Get add-ons" tab. On the page that opens, you will be able to select extensions from the “Recommended” and “Gaining Popular” sections.
Step 2
If none of the provided add-ons piqued your interest, you can search or view the full list of available add-ons. When choosing the first option, click on the "Search among add-ons" field at the top right of the page, enter the required search criteria and press the Enter key. After that, a list with the results will open, from which you can select what you need. If there is no suitable option, enter a different search criterion.
Step 3
To view a complete list of available extensions, click on the "Browse all add-ons" link on the "Get Add-ons" tab page, or go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/extensions/. Here you can view extensions sorted by popularity, number of downloads, date added, specific category.
Step 4
After you have found an add-on you are interested in, click on its name. The extension's personal page will open. Here you can read a detailed description, changes in different versions, see screenshots, read reviews or leave your own, find out the name of the developer. To install the extension, click on the "Add to Firefox" button.
Step 5
This will open a window showing the progress of the file download. At the end of the process, a warning about the start of the installation of the extension will appear. Click the Install Now button to continue. Next, you will be prompted to restart Firefox for the extension to take effect. Click the appropriate button.
