Instructions

Step 1

For the simplest presentation or editing a small clip, it's best to use free utilities like Movie Maker. Download this program by choosing the version you want. For Windows Vista and Seven operating systems, Movie Maker 2.6 is suitable. Install this program. Restart your computer.

Step 2

Open Movie Maker. Go to the File tab and select Open Project or Import File. Specify the location of the video file you will be working on in the future.

Step 3

After the video has finished downloading, its name will be displayed in the list of working files. Drag it to the render bar to be able to perform the necessary manipulations. The functions of the program allow you to quickly set only two effects: "Fade in" and "Fade in". Right-click the frame for which you want to apply one of the specified effects. Select "Appear" or "Disappear".

Step 4

Click the Clip tab and select Effects. Click the Thumbnails button to display images of the available effects. To apply the selected effect to a certain fragment, drag its sketch to the desired point in the "Render" field.

Step 5

The program's capabilities allow you to apply up to six different effects to one frame. It should be noted that not all of them are compatible with each other. In the event that you applied two incompatible effects to a frame, the one that was added earlier will be performed. Don't use too many different effects when creating a clip. Sometimes this makes it much more difficult to view and perceive.
