A web browser is a program designed to view Internet sites. Different vendors offer different versions of the software. But which browser to install is up to the user.

Step 1
To open any web browser, you must have it installed on your computer. Internet Explorer is installed with the Windows operating system by default. To launch it, a shortcut is created on the desktop, which is also duplicated in the Start menu. The same happens if you install any other browser on your PC (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and so on). In order to open the browser, simply click on its icon with the left mouse button in one of the indicated places, not forgetting to first connect to the Internet.

If you accidentally deleted your shortcuts to launch the browser, bring them back. To send a shortcut to the desktop, find the Program Files folder and a subfolder with the name of your browser on the system disk. Select the.exe icon (IE.exe, firefox.exe, opera.exe, and so on). Click on it with the right mouse button and select the "Send" command from the drop-down menu. In the submenu, click on "Desktop (create shortcut)".
Step 3
In order to place the browser icon on the quick launch bar, in the directory with the installed program, move the cursor to the icon of your browser, press and hold the left mouse button, drag the icon to the taskbar to the right of the "Start" button. Release the mouse button. If you failed to add an icon to the Quick Launch area, right-click on the taskbar, expand the "Toolbars" menu and make sure that a marker is set in the submenu opposite the "Quick Launch" item.
Step 4
To open the browser from the Start menu, you can either expand all programs and find the folder with the name of the browser, or configure the display of the browser icon in the minimized menu mode. Right-click on the taskbar and select Properties from the context menu. In the dialog box that opens, go to the "Start Menu" tab. Click on the "Customize" button next to the "Start Menu" field.
Step 5
Another dialog box will open, make sure you are on the General tab. Place the marker opposite the field “Internet” in the group “Display in the Start menu”. Using the drop-down list, select the web browser that you will use (if there are several installed on your computer). Click on the OK button, the settings window will close automatically. In the properties window save the new parameters with the Apply or OK button.
