You need to start the process of setting up a newly purchased computer with the installation of the operating system. Already at this stage, it is recommended to perform a number of simple, but no less important operations. It is about setting up a hard drive for later use.

Step 1
When installing the operating system, it is recommended to divide the hard disk into partitions. In the case of Windows Seven, this can be done using standard tools. When the window for selecting disks for installing the OS opens, delete the existing partitions by clicking the "delete" button. After that, create at least two new partitions. One of them is for OS installation. It should be approximately 50 GB in size. The size and file system of the remaining partitions can be anything. Don't create too small sections unless you have a specific purpose.
Step 2
After installing the operating system, you need to optimize it. Open the properties of the local drive containing the operating system. At the very bottom of the "General" tab, find the item "Allow indexing of file contents …" and disable it. Repeat this operation for all other hard disk partitions.
Step 3
Take care of the design of the desktop. Choose your favorite theme and screensaver. Customize the size of the shortcuts and the Quick Access Toolbar. You can use various applications to create additional quick access areas for files. Remember that it is undesirable to use a large number of visual effects for the desktop if your computer's performance is not very high.
Step 4
Install the Advanced System Care program. This is necessary for quick setup and optimization of the system. Run the program and select "Clean Windows". Activate all four items and click "Scan". Click "Repair" to fix the problems found.
Step 5
Go to the System Diagnostics tab and repeat the steps in the previous step. Turn on this program at least once a month. This will keep the system in good working order. Do not disable the automatic system scan function.
