Step 1
Regedit is a shell-built program that acts as a registry editor. It is quite easy to launch this utility, for this you need to click the "Start" menu, select the "Run" item, enter regedit in an empty field and click OK. In the window that opens, you will see the main panel of the registry editor, divided into 2 parts. On the left are the sections (branches and directories), and on the right are options and values.
Step 2
In the left part of the window, expand the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT branch and sequentially go through the following directory chain: Directory, Background and Shell. Inside the Shell folder there are parameters (internal registry files) that are responsible for displaying context menu items.
Step 3
To create your own command, which will be displayed in the context menu, you just need to create a new section. For example, if you often use the standard Notepad, it is not at all necessary to constantly create new text documents. Inside the Shell folder, create a section called "Notepad" or "My Notepad" (the choice of the name depends only on your imagination). Go to the desktop or "My Documents" and call the context menu by right-clicking on an empty space. In the list of commands, you will see the one you just created. Left-click on it, nothing will happen, because you have created only a menu line, and the command has not been specified.
Step 4
Inside this directory, you need to create a new section called Command. Open it and in the right pane, double-click on the name of the "Default" parameter. In the blank field, enter notepad.exe and click OK. Return to the desktop again and call the context menu, after clicking on the line "My notepad" a text editor window will appear in front of you.
