Removing or adding commands and items in the context menu of the Microsoft Windows operating system is a standard task and is performed using standard Windows tools without the involvement of additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows operating system by clicking the "Start" button to initiate the procedure for editing the commands of the context menu of the selected application and go to the "All programs" item.
Step 2
Expand the Accessories link and launch the Windows Explorer application.
Step 3
Find the required program or file and expand the "Tools" menu of the top toolbar of the window of the selected application to be edited from the context menu.
Step 4
Specify the "Settings" item and go to the "Commands" tab of the opened settings dialog box. Use the Arrange Commands button.
Step 5
Specify the value "Toolbar" in the drop-down list of the line "Select a menu or toolbar to change the order of commands" and select the context menu to be edited in the drop-down directory.
Step 6
Specify the command to be deleted in the list of the "Controls" field and confirm the execution of the command by pressing the "Delete" button.
Step 7
Confirm your choice by clicking the "Close" button and press the same button again to apply the selected changes.

Return to the main "Start" menu to perform an alternative operation of deleting the selected commands from the context menu of the application or file to be edited and go to the "Run" item.

Enter the value regedit in the Open field and confirm the execution of the command to launch the Registry Editor tool by clicking OK.

Expand the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT element in the left pane of the editor window by double-clicking and define the context menu to be edited.

Expand the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTDirectoryshell registry key and double-click the shell parameter.
Step 12
Specify the selected command of the context menu and press the Del function key to delete the command, or invoke the context menu of the command itself by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Delete" item.
