The so-called "long" photo is often used by users of social networks as an avatar. In a photograph with the appropriate attributes, a person can fit at full height. To create a long photo, you can use one of the image editors.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your photo for editing. It is desirable that this is a photo taken with the camera in a vertical position. In other words, the height of the image must be at least twice its length. The photo must be of high quality.
Step 2
The easiest way to create a long picture is to use the standard Windows image editor MS Paint, which is available in the list of programs from the Start menu. Run the program and load the desired image by choosing the "Open" command from the "File" menu.
Step 3
Select the "Picture" menu, then "Attributes". Increase the height of the image to the size you need. Go to the toolbar for editing. Click on the "Select" icon. Grab the required area of the photo with the cursor and, while holding down the left mouse button, drag it down to the required mark. This will lengthen the original photo.
Step 4
You can also select the desired part of the image and right-click on it. In the menu that appears, select the item "Stretch / Shear" and specify how many percent you want to stretch the photo vertically. Save the photo to your hard drive.
Step 5
Log in to your social network profile. Go to the avatar editing page and specify the path to your photo. Please note that some social networks, for example, VKontakte, allow you to select a certain area of the photo for setting as an avatar, so you can simply “crop” the image as needed, even if it is not initially vertical.
Step 6
Take advantage of dedicated sites for creating long avatars by searching the internet for them. With them, you can enlarge the photo in length or create a vertical collage of two or more images.
