Folders are repositories of computer files. They also act as icons for quick navigation through the operating system sections. For the convenience of users in the settings there is a special service on how to create a picture in a folder. This will help you quickly remember its colorful label.

Step 1
Right click on the folder icon. In the command list that appears, select the lower section "Properties" (in newer versions of Windows it is called "Personalization"). A new service window will appear, where you will need to go to the "Settings (shortcut)" tab (in new versions of Windows it is called "Changing desktop icons"). This is where you can insert the picture into the familiar yellow rectangular folder label.
Step 2
Go to the top field "Pictures of Folders" to enable thumbnail mode. The uniqueness of this mode is that it allows you to place any image in the folder icon - background image, photo, desktop wallpaper, etc. Do not confuse this service with the similar “Folder Icons”, which is located directly below it. To insert a picture, click on the "Select Picture" button. An additional window will appear with a very simple and intuitive interface.
Step 3
Next, using the function of browsing folders, select the wallpaper you like, as well as the folder in which you want to place it. Confirm your choice by clicking on "Ok". Close the service window. Now, on the desktop or inside the system partitions, find your beautiful folder. Admire her appearance! It has completely changed, and now, instead of the usual folder label, it elegantly fits a bright background image.
Step 4
For each folder, it is advisable to set a drawing suitable for its content, for example, for important documents - an image of a portfolio or business case, for home accounting - a photograph with banknotes or banknotes, and for music - a drawing of a guitar or headphones. Think creatively and your familiar interface will become incredibly convenient and memorable. If you need to return the previous view of the folder, or insert a different picture, use the same section.
