If an inkjet printer is idle for a long time, its cartridges dry out quickly. Moreover, this problem is relevant for all inkjet printers, regardless of the model of the printing device. But it doesn't matter: a dried-up color cartridge (this also applies to a black ink tank) can be restored.

Necessary

  • - hacksaw for metal;
  • - sticky note paper;
  • - pen;
  • - soap;
  • - water;
  • - distilled water or other flushing liquid;
  • - capacity;
  • - syringe;
  • - a piece of plastic;
  • - cold welding;
  • - ink.

Instructions

Step 1

Carefully saw off a part of the cartridge and mark each section (where is what color). Then take out the foam and wash it in warm soapy water. Dry the washed foam rubber.

Step 2

While the foam is drying, rinse the cartridge itself. Use warm distilled water to rinse the cartridge. The process of flushing the cartridge is as follows: fill each compartment with flushing fluid and flush the nozzles.

Step 3

Please note: there are three types of flushing fluid (acidic, alkaline and neutral) used for cartridge regeneration. As a rule, an acidic recovery fluid is used for HP color cartridges, an alkaline fluid for Epson and Canon cartridges, and a neutral fluid for cartridges from other manufacturers.

Step 4

In a particularly severe case, pour the flushing liquid into a shallow container and install the cartridge with nozzles into the container. Leave the cartridge in the flush container for several hours.

Step 5

Using a medical syringe, clean the cartridge nozzles and its intake filter from ink residues. To do this, pump air through the nozzles into the cartridge. After making sure the cartridge is empty and clean, dry it.

Step 6

Cut out the plugs for the cartridge from plastic and, using cold welding, attach them to the body of the ink tank. It is extremely important to perform this operation efficiently: if there is even the slightest gap between the compartments, the ink will mix with each other.

Step 7

Allow time for the product to dry. That's it: the cartridge has been remanufactured. It remains only to fill it with ink and install it in the printer.
