Mozilla Firefox is a popular browser, but it happens that the user no longer wants to use it in his work on the Internet. There are two ways to uninstall Mozilla Firefox browser.
The user may want to uninstall the Mozila Firefox browser for many reasons: he changes it to another, does not use it for a long time, the browser began to annoy him with its speed, or the user just wants to restart it. In any case, the actions will be almost the same.
Remove Mozilla Firefox from Control Panel
Before starting the process, close the Mozilla Firefox browser. Press the "Start" button, select the "Control Panel" icon, then in the "Programs" section - "Uninstall a program". In the list that opens, you need to find the Mozilla Firefox browser icon. Don't rush too quickly, let the list load, especially if you have a lot of programs on your computer. It happens that the removal of a program is delayed or even stalled if the list of programs is not allowed to load completely.
Now that the browser icon is found, select it with the mouse. The "Delete" button will appear at the top of the panel. We boldly press it and wait for the computer to complete the process. During uninstallation, you will be presented with a window with which you can manage the uninstallation settings. If you do not want the browser to save the settings for your computer, then click on the checkbox "Delete personal data, profiles and settings from my Firefox".
When you check this box, the browser will not save your passwords, bookmarks, and personal information. This removes most of the programs from the personal computer system.
The uninstall wizard does not start
If the uninstall wizard does not start or refuses to perform the uninstall for some reason, there is another way. Start the uninstallation process manually. To do this, open the helper.exe file, which you can find along this path:
for 32-bit Windows: C: / Program Files / Mozilla Firefox / uninstall / helper.exe
for 64-bit Windows C: / Program Files (x86) Mozilla Firefox / uninstall / helper.exe
Delete the remaining program files
When you uninstall a browser from Control Panel, its files may still remain in the installation folder. You can completely delete them if you send them to the trash, and then erase the folder found along this path: C: / Documents and Settings / Username / Application Data / Mozilla / Firefox / Profiles.
After that, all files will be deleted, the Mozilla Firefox browser will no longer start on your computer. It will be possible to download it again at any time by finding it through the search of any other browser.
