For many, it is no secret that optical discs are an unreliable medium for long-term storage of information. Older storage media such as magnetic tape are more durable. If you have a camcorder that records to videotapes, it may occur to you to record video from your computer to cassettes using a camcorder. Unfortunately, this is not so easy to do.
Necessary
- - camera;
- - computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Examine the camcorder body carefully. It is required that the camera has an externally transmitted dv-in video input. Older camera models were rarely produced with this input. If there is no such input, then the operation cannot be carried out directly. All you have to do is run the video on the computer in the player and literally shoot the screen with the camera.
Step 2
If your camcorder has a video input, install a 1394 card in your computer to link the computer to the camera. Connect the camcorder to the computer using the specified cable. Check your camcorder's manual to find out which connectors you need to connect. If you do not have instructions, you can find it on the Internet on the official website of the manufacturer in electronic form.
Step 3
Install special software if the software supplied with the card does not support the ability to transfer data to the camcorder. One such software is Pinnacle Studio, however, it is paid software and costs quite a lot. Look for free counterparts with similar features. You can find similar software at softodrom.ru.
Step 4
Record on the camcorder cassette using the installed video recording software. You can edit existing video files and record your favorite clips onto cassettes. Do not overdo it with processing - not every camcorder will be able to reproduce video effects later. Organizing this kind of video file recording is a rather difficult task. Perhaps you should use information protection and recovery programs if you want to protect yourself from losing your important video.
