Among the vignettes used to decorate photographs, there are images of varying degrees of complexity. These can be rectangles with a transparent area and feathered edges, as well as multi-color patterns consisting of many details. A simple vertical vignette can be created using Photoshop's Twirl brushes and filter.

Instructions
Step 1
Using the New option on the File menu, create a new document in the Photoshop window with a transparent background. To do this, select the Transparent item from the Background Contents list.
Step 2
Use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to select an area of the canvas that matches the height of the vignette. Turn on the Paint Bucket Tool and fill the created rectangle with the darkest color that will be present in the image. Deselect the selection using the Ctrl + D keys.
Step 3
Press Ctrl + J and duplicate the rectangle layer twice. Use the Hide Layers option of the Layer menu to hide the created copies so that they do not interfere with the work with the lower layer.
Step 4
Warp the filled shape using the Twirl option in the Distort group of the Filter menu. For the twist angle, enter a value of about two hundred degrees.
Step 5
With the Show Layers option, make the middle layer visible and process it with the Twirl filter with the same settings. Make this shape a little lighter than the bottom detail by applying the Hue / Saturation option in the Adjustments group of the Image menu and adjusting the Lightness value.
Step 6
Include the top copy of the base of the vignette and warp it with the Twirl filter with a twist value from five hundred to nine hundred degrees. With the Hue / Saturation filter, adjust the color of the resulting shape so that it is lighter than the second layer.
Step 7
Having selected all three blanks while holding down the Ctrl key, reduce their width to the same extent. Use the Free Transform option of the Edit menu for this. Moving the edge of the frame, adjust the width of the shapes to the size of the future vignette.
Step 8
Use the Move Tool to move the part on the second layer to the right so that the bottom picture appears from under it. If necessary, move the most twisted fragment so that the right borders of its upper and lower parts coincide with the right edges of the pictures lying below.
Step 9
Insert a layer into the document by pressing the Ctrl + Shift + N keys. Use the Brush Tool to add some hard-edged round brush prints to the top and bottom of the vignette. For the created circles, select the color in which the part is painted from the top layer. You can make one print, copy it over several layers and move it to the right places. Reduce some circles with the Free Transform option.
Step 10
Using the Merge Visible option of the Layer menu, collect all the details of the vignette into one layer and save the picture to a.png"
