Most of the relatively old mobile phones do not support the AVI and MP4 video file playback function. Especially for such devices, the 3gp format was developed.

- - Adobe Premier.
Instructions
Step 1
To edit 3gp files into a different type, you need a special program. Try the Format Factory app, for example. The program allows you to view and trim most of the known types of video and audio files. Download the Russian version of this utility and install it on your computer. Restart your PC and wait for the operating system to fully load.
Step 2
Launch Format Factory and wait for the main program menu to open. Expand the "Video" tab located on the left side of the working window. Now click on the icon that says "All 3gp". Click the "Folder" button located in the lower right part of the menu that appears.
Step 3
In the window with the title "Add entire folder", select the required formats of the files you are looking for and click the Ok button. Wait while the program finds all files of the specified type in the selected directory. After a while, a complete list of files available for conversion will appear.
Step 4
Highlight the 3gp file you need and click the "Settings" button. Fill in the Start Time and End Time fields. The video image within these boundaries will be saved to a new file. Check the box next to Crop and click Ok. Wait until the final file is saved.
Step 5
If you need to add various effects or change the content of a video file, then use the Adobe Premier program. It works with the vast majority of well-known video formats. Launch this program, open the File menu and select the required 3gp video.
Step 6
Apply the appropriate effects and save the file by pressing the Ctrl + S keys. Be sure to specify the desired type of target file. It can be the standard AVI format or several other popular types.
