The avi container is one of the popular digital video packaging methods. But what if the files with this extension, captured from the camera, or received in another way, only play halfway on your home DVD player, or not play at all? There is no reason to be upset, the problem will be solved if you convert the avi to a format suitable for DVD media.
Necessary
- CanopusProCoder program
- avi file
Instructions
Step 1
Load the original avi file into CanopusProCoder. To do this, left-click on the Add tab. At the very beginning of working with the program, this tab will be highlighted, so you can't go wrong. In the explorer window, select the file you are going to convert and click on the "Open" button. You can upload several files at once, left-click on them while holding down the Ctrl key.
Step 2
Left-click on the Target tab. Open the list of formats that the downloaded file can be converted to by clicking the Add button. A window with presets for conversion will open. Click on the cross to the left of CD / DVD and highlight DVD. In the window that appears on the right, left-click on the MPEG2-DVD-PAL-VOB item. Click on the OK button in the lower right part of the presets window.
Step 3
In the Target tab, specify the conversion settings. Some of them can be left with the default values, but some need to be adjusted. Specify where the converted file will be saved by clicking on the button to the right of the Path item. In the window that opens, select a folder to save the file. If you need to create a separate folder for recording converted files, select the place where you are going to create a new folder and click on the "Create folder" button. Enter the name of the folder from the keyboard, otherwise it will bear the proud name "New folder", which does not say anything about the contents of the folder. Click the OK button.
Step 4
Click on the Convert tab. Wait for the conversion process to finish. Done, your video can be cut to DVD.
