Step 1
Select the program with which you will establish communication with the second computer. Popular programs of this kind include the standard built-in utility of Windows XP and Vista - Remote Desktop Connection, as well as completely independent utilities Symantec PCAnywhere, Remote Administrator, UltraVNC, z2 Remote2PC and others. For the first time, you can use the free TeamViewer software. Download this program from the network and save it to your computer - it only takes a couple of minutes.
Step 2
Run the utility. You will see a new window on your desktop - it will contain information about your PC. In the same window there will be a free line where you must enter the ID of the second computer. If you establish a connection to the computer of your colleague or friend, you must take this data from them.
Step 3
Then decide on what principle the connection will be made directly. TeamViewer will present you with several options, select the appropriate one and then click the "Connect" button.
Step 4
Another window will open in front of you, enter the following secret information into it - the password for accessing the second PC. This data must also be provided by the owner of the second computer.
Step 5
After you complete all these actions, a new panel will appear on your desktop - this will be the desktop of the remote computer. Access to the desktop of the remote computer is configured.
