Software developers are constantly improving versions of their products. You can download an update for it so that you don't have to reinstall a program each time. You can manage the update not only yourself, but also by setting the automatic mode.

Step 1
Checking for updates for different programs can be configured and performed in different ways. Somewhere it is enough to click on the "Update" button in the application window or in the settings section, somewhere you can check the "Update automatically" item in the parameters. In some cases, you need to download the update.exe file to your computer, run it and follow the instructions of the "Installation Wizard".
Step 2
The Windows operating system provides automatic updates for various components and resources. To turn it on, you need to take a few steps. Press the Windows key or the Start button to open the menu. Select the item "Control Panel" from the list and in the category "Security Center" click on the line-link "Automatic update".
Step 3
A new dialog box will open. Place a marker in it opposite the "Automatic (recommended)" item. In the fields below, set the schedule for the update. In the left field, set the frequency of checking for new versions, and in the right field - the time. Save the new settings with the "Apply" button and close the window.
Step 4
To update the version of the Mozilla Firefox browser, launch it and select About Firefox from the Help menu. The program details window will check for updates. If a newer version of the program is found, the update will be downloaded automatically. Wait until it completes, agree with the offer to restart the browser.
Step 5
To update the add-ons installed for the browser, in the "Tools" menu, select the "Add-ons" item. Open the "Extensions" section and click on the gear-shaped button in the upper right corner of the page. Select the item "Automatically update add-ons" from the drop-down menu, marking it with a marker. Alternatively, select the Check for Updates task.
