Step 1
To lower the bus frequency, you need AI Booster. It is completely free and can be easily found on the internet. Download it and install it on your computer. A reboot may be required after installation. The program integrates into autorun. Therefore, after restarting the computer, it will start automatically.
Step 2
In the program menu, click on the Display tuning panel icon. This will open up an additional panel with which you can control some of the main settings of the motherboard.

Now you need to activate the FSB control capability of the motherboard. To do this, check the Tuning item. The current bus frequency is located under the Tuning item. There are two icons next to it: "minus" and "plus". Accordingly, by clicking on the minus sign, you lower the bus frequency; clicking on the "plus" - increase. Please note that many motherboard manufacturers fix the minimum frequency. In general, lowering this indicator is much safer than raising it due to the possible failure of the processor.
Step 4
After selecting the desired bus frequency, click Apply. A dialog box appears prompting you to restart your computer. This is what needs to be done. After restarting the PC, the bus frequency will be reduced. Accordingly, the frequency of the "stone" and the rotation speed of the processor cooler will be reduced.
Step 5
Also, on some models of motherboards, the bus frequency can be reduced using the BIOS menu. To enter the BIOS, you must press the DEL key on the initial PC boot screen. Next, find the Overclocking section in the BIOS. In this section, find the FSB parameter, then select the frequency you want. Then exit BIOS. Be sure to save the settings when you exit. The computer will restart and the bus frequency will be reduced.
