Step 1

Right-click anywhere on your desktop that is free of shortcuts, folder and file icons, widgets, and gadgets. A context menu for basic desktop settings will appear.

In the context menu that opens, move the mouse cursor over the "View" line. An additional list will appear with settings for the appearance and display of desktop icons and gadgets.

In the list that appears, place a check mark opposite the line "Small icons" by clicking on it with the left mouse button once. After that, the icons of shortcuts, folders, files and programs displayed on the desktop will become small.

To reduce the size of the icons on the taskbar, right-click on it once. The context menu for the taskbar and start menu options settings will open.
