The explorer.exe file is an Explorer system application that is used as an explorer on Windows operating systems. Explorer allows you to open files and folders in windows with a user-friendly interface, and displays various elements of the work windows and the main screen.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the Computer library. To do this, double-click the left mouse button on its shortcut on the desktop.

Go to the local drive on which the Windows 7 operating system is installed (usually - "Local drive (C:)").

Open the Windows system folder. If the system displays an error accessing this folder, click the "Allow access to system folders" button.

Find the "explorer.exe" application in the list of files and folders contained in the open directory. To launch the application, double-click on it with the left mouse button or, by selecting it with a single click, press the "Enter" key on the keyboard.

You can also find the file "explorer.exe" using the system function to find files and folders. To do this, open the "Computer" window and in the "Search: Computer" text box located in the upper right part, enter the query "explorer.exe" and press the "Search" button or press the "Enter" key on your keyboard. A list of files and folders with matching names will be displayed in the viewing area of the window.

The function of searching for files and folders is also presented in the Start menu in the form of the search bar “Find programs and files”. In this line, enter the query text "explorer.exe", and a list of programs and files that match the search parameters will appear at the top.
