The sidebar is where many useful gadgets reside. As a rule, it is located on the right side of the screen. By default, the sidebar is loaded when the PC is turned on at the same time as starting Windows Vista. But often, PC users make their own settings for the operation of the computer, for example, disable some sidebar applications. But how do you turn them on later?

Step 1
Browse the gadgets available to this personal computer. To do this, right-click on the desktop and select "Widgets" from the menu that appears on the screen. Then scroll through all the available applications by scrolling. For more information about a specific desktop gadget, click on it and select Show Details.

Add removed widgets. But first, use a collection search or manual selection to find the desktop gadgets you are interested in. Then press the button "Load to the side panel", and then confirm the performed action by pressing "OK" in all the windows that appear.
Step 3
When working on a screen with large windows, such as documents, the sidebar is automatically hidden, thereby freeing up workspace for the active window. To display the hidden sidebar again, press the following keyboard shortcut: Windows + Spacebar.
Step 4
Detach several of its widgets from the sidebar and place them anywhere on your desktop. To do this, drag the desktop gadget to a new location. To change the order of the widgets within the sidebar, drag the items with the mouse. Remember, to drag some gadgets, you need to grab the bottom edge of the gadget with the mouse (this pointer appears to the right of the gadget).
