Disabling NetWare Client Service may be required when the system automatically switches to the classic login window and the welcome screen disappears. The procedure does not require special knowledge or the involvement of additional programs.
Instructions
Step 1
The procedure for disabling the client service for NetWare networks is different for different versions of the Windows operating system. Call the main menu of Windows Vista OS by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Settings" item. Specify the "Network Connections" item in the directory of the opened dialog box and call the context menu of the "Local Area Connection" item by clicking the right mouse button.
Step 2
Specify the "Properties" item and confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the "Continue" button in the system request window that opens. Note that you may need to enter an administrator password in this dialog box. Select the Networking tab in the new dialog and locate Client for NetWare Networks in the Checked Components Used By This Connection directory. Use the "Delete" button to disable the required element and confirm the saving of the changes made by clicking the "Yes" button. Then reboot the system.
Step 3
Open the main menu of the Windows XP version by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Settings" item. Open the "Network Connections" link in the opened directory and open the context menu of the "Local Area Connection" component by right-clicking. Specify the "Properties" item.
Step 4
Select the "General" tab in the dialog box that opens and find the "Client for NetWare Networks" line in the "Components Used by this Connection" section. Select the found line and use the "Delete" command. Confirm the execution of the selected action by clicking the "Yes" button in the opened window of the system request and apply the changes made by restarting the computer.
