Instructions
Step 1
Close Microsoft Outlook. Open the main Start menu and go to the Run command. Enter cmd and click the "Open" button. A command prompt appears, in which you must enter the following text: drive: / Program Files / Common Files / System / Map / _LanguageCode_ / scanpst.exe. In other words, you need to refer to the scanpst.exe file. Instead of the "LanguageCode" parameter, you must specify the ID of the language for which the file is being restored. For the Russian language, the code is 1049.
Step 2
Press the enter button to execute the command. A window will appear, in the line "Enter the file name" you must specify the name of the restored document and the path to it. This information can be found from the error message that popped up when trying to load data.
Step 3
Click on the "Options" button and put a check mark in the "Replace protocol" line. If you want to restore the file to the same folder, then check the "Append protocol" item. Click the "Start" button to let the program start scanning. After its completion, a window will appear in which it is necessary to check the item "Create a backup copy of the file before restoring". Click the "Restore" button.
Step 4

Step 5
Download and install Outlook Recovery Toolbox. Run this application and click the "Open" button and specify the path to the damaged file. If you do not know its storage location, then run the file search command. After that, click the "OK" button for the program to start scanning the data.
