A too light background creates disharmony and distracts the viewer's attention. You can darken the background of the picture using the powerful graphics editor Adobe Photoshop.

Instructions
Step 1
Open the photos file in Adobe Photoshop. To do this, select the menu items "File" and the sub-item "Open". To perform this operation more quickly, press the Ctrl + O keys on the keyboard at the same time.
Step 2
Select the parts of the background of the image that you want to darken. The selection can be applied using a number of tools: Elliptical Marquee Tool, Polygonal Lasso Tool, Rectangular Marquee Tool, Lasso Tool, Magnetic Lasso Tool. All of these tools are available for selection on the main toolbar of the application. Wherein Rectangular selects rectangular areas, and Elliptical selects elliptical areas. They are useful for selecting large areas of the background. Tools of the Lasso Tool group allow you to select areas of complex shapes. From this group, the Magnetic tool selects areas along the boundaries of the separation of colors. It is very useful for creating selections around contrasting objects.
Step 3
Press alt="Image" or Shift to modify an existing selection. The Shift key allows you to add a newly created selection area to an existing one. The alt="Image" key removes the created area from the already selected one.
Step 4
Darken the selected areas of the background of the image. To do this, select the items "Image", "Adjustments", "Levels" from the menu. In the dialog that appears, there are three sliders under the histogram image. Move the middle slider to the right until the background is sufficiently dark.
Step 5
Save the resulting dark background along with the entire photo to a new file. To do this, select the "File" item and the "Save As …" sub-item in the menu, or press the Shift + Ctrl + S key combination. In the dialog box that opens on the screen, select the format you need, the name and the path to save the new file.
