So how do you split a file into parts? This question is often asked by newbie applauders. Uploaders are people who upload material - films, music albums, computer games - to the site. The answer is simple - a shareware program Total Commander can split a file of any size into equal parts. This program works with all versions of Windows and has localizers for comfortable work with the interface in Russian. Total Commander is a file manager with a huge number of technical and other tools, including working with images and archives. You can download the program for free on the Internet, or you can find it on the compilation disk with the software.

After the program is downloaded and installed, run it. You will see two Total Commander workspaces on the screen, separated by a vertical line in the center of the screen. Select any area that is a conductor of a particular disk, and follow the path to the desired folder where the file you want to split is located.
Step 3
Click on the file you need with the left mouse button once (not twice, as usual). After that, in the menu above, select "Files" - "Split file".
You will see a window in which you need to specify the path where the parts of the split file will be saved, as well as the desired size of each desk. So, for example, a 700 MB file can be split into 7 parts of 100 MB each, and a 4.7 GB file (DVD) into 5 parts: 4 parts of 1 GB each and the final part 0.7 GB.
Click OK and wait for 100% completion of the operation of splitting the file into parts, then go to the specified folder and make sure that all parts of the file are in place.
