Themes in the Windows operating system are used to change the elements of the displayed graphics. The theme also specifies options for the display and behavior of windows and shortcuts when they are clicked, dragged, or minimized. Each skin in the operating system can be installed or removed at the discretion of the user.
Instructions
Step 1
To go to the list of installed themes, you can right-click on a free area of the desktop. After that, in the context menu that appears, select the "Personalization" item. You can also access the list of skins through the Start menu - Control Panel - Appearance and Personalization - Windows Themes.
Step 2
In the window that appears, you will see a list of presets installed in the system. Right-click the list item that you want to delete, and then, among the options that appear, click "Delete Topic". After a few seconds, the data will be completely deleted.
Step 3
You can download the necessary themes using the official Microsoft website, which contains a large number of free and downloadable designs. To install the received file, double-click on it with the left mouse button, and in the appeared list of the "Personalization" section, select the theme you just downloaded.
Step 4
To change the parameters of the installed scheme, you can also use the corresponding functions located at the bottom of the list of design elements. Click on the "Desktop Background" button if you want to change the background of the current theme or set your own picture. With the help of the "Window Color" you can choose the color scheme used in the system, as well as adjust the necessary transparency parameters. To change the soundtrack of events, click on the "Sounds" button. To change the screensaver, also use the corresponding key.
Step 5
You can save the settings made to a separate file by specifying your own name for the created design. After changing the parameters in the above paragraphs in the "Personalization" window, the "My themes" section will appear. To save the changes made for future use, select the "Save Theme" command, then enter any name and click the "Save" button.
