Step 1
Download the distribution kit of the program from the official website www.kaspersky.com. Install the antivirus, enter the license key (or agree to a trial period) and update the databases. If during installation the program asks you to remove the interfering application, do it. As a rule, antivirus software on your computer can interfere with similar programs, so do not try to install several antivirus systems on your computer, as this will not help you fully protect yourself from viruses

Open the Kaspersky Anti-Virus window. Click on the inscription "Check", located on the bottom panel of the program. In the "Checks" section, you will be offered three types of this operation: "Full scan", "Critical areas scan" and "Vulnerability scan". If you need to scan your entire computer, click on "Full Scan". Please be patient: a full scan of your computer will take a long time. If you have no time to wait, select Critical Areas Scan.
Step 3
Carefully read the messages of the antivirus while checking your computer. Kaspersky may ask your decision what to do with a particular program or file. If the antivirus detects a serious threat to the system, it will offer to make an emergency scan with a restart of the computer. It is imperative to confirm such operations in order to completely remove viruses.
Step 4
If the antivirus could not be installed due to errors or for unclear reasons, it means that the operating system is already damaged by viruses, and internal treatment will not help it. Connect your hard drive to another computer and test it under a different system. As a last resort, you will have to reinstall Windows.
