USB devices have closely entered our lives, as information technology develops more and more over time. You constantly have to transfer information from one computer to another. However, what if your favorite flash drive stopped working? As a rule, such situations arise for almost every second owner of this device.
Necessary
- - flash drive;
- - JetFlash Recovery Tool.
Instructions
Step 1
Don't go to the store right away for new devices. First you need to check the USB flash drive using the computer's software devices. Turn on your computer. Next, insert the USB stick into the USB port. If the information is not displayed, or the flash drive starts to open with errors, you just need to format it. This usually happens after viruses have been removed on this portable device. Right-click on the USB device icon. A context menu will appear, in which select the "Formatting" item.
Step 2
This takes no more than 10 minutes. If everything goes well, the flash drive will work in full mode. Try to transfer information to it to see how the process is going. It is also worth noting that the flash drive can be damaged due to a power outage. As practice shows, many USB devices are poorly protected from this factor, so try to use an uninterrupted device on your computer so that such situations do not arise in the future.
Step 3
You can also use specialized third-party software that allows you to restore the normal state of the USB drive. Download the JetFlash Recovery Tool. You can find it on the softsearch.ru software portal. There is no need to install the utility, as it simply starts. First, enable the display of all hidden files on your computer. To do this, click in any open window on the "Folder Options" tab. Then go to the column "View" and "Show all hidden files and folders."
Step 4
Run the program. Next, insert the USB device into your computer. Now, in your personal account directory, find a folder called Temp. If the operation is successful, a JFAPP folder will be automatically created in which a special file named JFormat.exe will appear. As soon as you launch it, try transferring the information to a USB flash drive and reading it on another computer.
