When creating new versions of templates for websites, the layout designer needs to constantly look for shades that he has not used before. He often looks for new colors from his competitors. To help such people, special programs have been created so as not to spend a lot of time selecting a similar color.
Necessary
Adobe Photoshop
Instructions
Step 1
Surely many people have encountered Photoshop and know that this utility does not give strict boundaries in creativity to a designer or layout designer. And now she will help in solving this problem. After installation, you need to start and minimize it, because initially, you need to get a snapshot of the site or picture, the color name of which you want to know.
Step 2
Open the test object, for example, in a browser. Find the Print Screen (PrtSc) button on your keyboard and press it. During this, the system takes a picture and saves it to the clipboard. Now you only need to insert an image from it.
Step 3
To insert the picture, restore the Photoshop utility window. Click the top File menu and select New or press Ctrl + N. In the window that opens, select Clipboard from the drop-down list and click OK.
Step 4
A blank sheet of a new image will appear in front of you. Click the top Edit menu and select Paste. An empty file will fill your desktop image (screenshot). To highlight the desired color, zoom in on the image by scaling it, use the "+" (increase) and "-" (decrease) keys. You can also scale by moving the slider on the navigation bar (in the upper right corner of the program window).
Step 5
Now use the eyedropper from the toolbar, direct it to the desired color and click with the left mouse button. To accurately determine the color that you took from the sample, click on the resulting color displayed on the toolbar. In the window that opens, you can not only find out the name of the color, but also copy its code, which is the same for all graphic editors.
Step 6
It should be noted that it is not at all necessary to memorize or copy the values in the RGB or CMYK scale - it is enough to copy the value following the # sign, for example, #cccccc (black color).
