Working with layers is a fundamental step in the graphics editor Photoshop. At the same time, the basic skill when using the program is the ability to include layers in a file open in Photoshop.
Instructions
Step 1
Open Photoshop. By default, the program has all the tools that will be required for further work, included, for example, the toolbar, colors, layers and history. The Layers panel is usually located in the lower right corner of the Photoshop workspace.
Step 2
If you do not find the panel, open the Window tab. In the drop-down list, check the box next to Layers. The layer panel is activated. Press the F7 key on the top row of keyboard keys. The layers palette will appear on the screen.
Step 3
To include layers in your psd file, load the file into Photoshop. Turn on the palette with layers as described above if it is not on. The palette will display all layers ever created in the psd file. Pay attention to the square to the right of the separate layer. If there is a small eye in the box, this means that the layer is visible, that is, it is turned on. If there is no eye, the layer is invisible. Click on the square to place the eye and make one layer visible.
Step 4
Usually, when one of the hidden layers is turned on, changes occur in the image itself, so you can easily spot them. If many layers have been created on top of the image, activate (make visible) one of the layers. Click on this layer with the right mouse button and select Show / Hide all other layers from the drop-down list. The rest of the layers will be included. Turn off unused layers by clicking on the square next to the layer and removing the eye from it.
Step 5
Hold alt="Image" and click on the eye in the square to turn off all layers except the layer you clicked on. Turn on all layers by Alt-clicking again. To include a group of layers as a whole, click in the square next to the group. To leave only a few enabled layers from the group, open it by clicking on the arrow and disable unused layers, one by one unchecking the boxes next to the layers.
