The Witcher is a game with gorgeous graphics and mesmerizing fighting styles. Of course, in addition to this, the game has many other advantages and benefits, but in order to learn them and taste all the joy of the gameplay, you also need to be able to start the game. To start the game "The Witcher", you need to perform several steps.
Instructions
Step 1
Install the Witcher game following the instructions of the installer. Remember the directory where you installed the game. By default, the game is installed in the C: GAMESWitcher folder. You can choose another drive.
Step 2
To start the game "The Witcher" you will need to additionally install the Daemon Tools Pro program. Usually it comes with the game and is located on the same disc. Install the program in the usual way, following the prompts that appear, restart your computer. Please note that Daemon Tools Pro does not work on x64 systems.
Step 3
Disconnect from the Internet and start the Daemon Tools Pro program by left-clicking on the icon that appears on the desktop after installing the program, or launch the program from the Start menu.
Step 4
Create a new virtual disk. To do this, select the "Tools" section in the upper menu bar of the program, and select "Add IDE Virtual Drive" in the drop-down menu. Confirm the creation of the virtual disk by clicking on the "Yes" button. Wait for the completion of the operation to create a new disk and confirm it by clicking the "OK" button. At the bottom of the screen, you will see an icon for the created disk.
Step 5
Select the mini-image of the game, which is located in the folder with the installed game. To do this, right-click on the icon of the newly created virtual disk and select the "Moutn image" command from the drop-down menu. In the window that opens, specify the path to the mini-image (for this it was required to remember the installation directory of the game) and click on its icon with the left mouse button. Wait while the program mounts the image.
Step 6
Exit Daemon Tools Pro by left-clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner of the window or from the top menu bar by selecting "File" and "Exit".
Step 7
Call the Witcher game menu from the desktop by clicking on the corresponding icon with the left mouse button, or by clicking on the game launch icon from the folder where the Witcher game was installed. In the game menu that appears, select the "Start Game" command.
