Userbars are long animated or static images used primarily to decorate user signatures on forums. You can create your own userbar using the special GNU Image Manipulation Program or GIMP for short.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch the GIMP app. Open the File menu, choose New to create your project. In the New Image window, set the image width to 350 pixels and the height to 19 pixels. Click "Advanced Options" and adjust the "Transparency" parameter in the "Fill With" menu. Click the "Zoom" button in the lower left corner and select a 400% scale to make it easier for you to work with the image.
Step 2
Click on the File menu "Open as Layers". Select the image you would like to use as the background in the navigation window and click "OK". Click "Move Tool" on the toolbar and drag the image up or down to select the part of it that you want to use as a userbar. The main composition of the userbar should be on the right side, and on the left, leave some space for the text.
Step 3
Select the Scale tool. Drag the top or bottom of the image towards the center to adjust the position of the image. Do not compress the image too much, otherwise it will be distorted. It is enough to move the picture to the center by 10-20%.
Step 4
Click the Text Tool button. Choose a font style and color that contrasts well with the background image. For example, the font set "Sans" with a size of 18 fits well into the size of the userbar. Click on the image and drag the text box to the right side.
Step 5
Click on "File" and "Save as". Click the "GIMP XCF" button in the file type selection menu to save the image in GIMP format for later editing if needed. Then click “Save as” again and choose one of the popular image formats like.jpg"
