Step 1
Make the right decision. The scrollbar should appear on your site only if it is dictated by the need to create additional convenience for the user, and not solely by your desires. Create the layout of the page where you are going to place the scrollbar. Choose a suitable place for her.
Step 2
Make a hard binding of the scroll (as they can also call the scroll bar) to a specific element of the page. It can be a text box that is a drop-down list. Calculate the "parking" lane in pixel and percentage ratio. It won't be difficult at all if the page is clearly structured.
Step 3
Add the standard scrollbar code between the body tags. If you don't know what this is about, download any tutorial on html layout. It will clearly describe how to write such code. It is best for such cases to have ready-made templates for similar sites at hand so that you can take some individual elements of the program code from there, which greatly simplifies life. So you've found the code. Place it either directly in the page code itself or attach it to the css table, which is much easier, but in the event that you change not one, but all the pages of the site.

Set the color parameters for the stripe, otherwise it will be a standard gray color, which most likely will not fit into the site design. These parameters are set in the same order as for any other graphic element of the page. Test scrolling in multiple browsers such as Mozile, Opera and Explorer. Step 5
Set the site height parameter to 75%, then the program code for the scroll will be added automatically. But you still need to change the scrollbar, and specifically - its graphical parameters. This is described in the previous paragraphs.
