Step 1
Buy an additional stick of RAM if your video card is integrated into the computer's motherboard. In this case, find out exactly the model of the laptop and, even better, the marking of the motherboard. It is best to look at the configuration of the equipment on the Internet by entering the model name in the search engine.

Also check if there is a slot for installing an additional memory module. All this is needed in order to find out what kind of RAM is compatible with your device and whether it supports the installation of additional equipment.

Shut down the computer, disconnect it from the power source. Turn the laptop over. Unscrew all existing fasteners of the top cover, carefully remove it. Sometimes the back cover of a computer has several covers, if you do not know exactly what memory is under, it is best to remove all of them completely.
Step 4
Find the compartment that contains the RAM. Carefully insert the new board into it, secure it. Replace the laptop cover by screwing it to the case. Turn on your laptop. Pay attention to the download speed.
Step 5
Next, open the "Start" menu and right-click on "My Computer". Select Properties. Look in the window that opens to see if the size of the RAM has increased.
Step 6
If you do not have a laptop, but a computer with a built-in video adapter, proceed in the same way. However, the motherboards of ordinary computers for the most part support the installation of an external adapter, find out exactly the possibility of connecting it and find out which parameters of the video card will be compatible with your motherboard. This also applies to laptops, but there are really very few models that support the ability to connect an external additional video adapter.
Step 7
If your computer or laptop has a removable video card that does not have enough RAM to perform the functions you need, replace it with a new one with better performance.
