Web browser favorites contain information that is important to you and greatly facilitate access to frequently visited Internet resources. The ability to save bookmarks and then restore them will come in handy after reinstalling the operating system or when choosing a new browser.

Instructions
Step 1
Internet Explorer If you are using the standard Internet Explorer browser to surf the net, go to: C: / Documents and SettingsAdminFavorites; this is where the bookmarks are located by default. Open your favorites folder and copy its contents to any other folder on the hard disk directory, which will remain unchanged after reinstalling the operating system. Move the bookmarks saved in this way to the new folder "Favorites".
Step 2
Opera To save your favorites in the Opera browser, refer to its menu and go to the "Bookmarks" section. To access the settings, open File, select Export Opera Bookmarks, enter a file name and click Save. When transferring bookmarks to a new web browser, enter the control section, specify the path to the saved file and select "Import Opera Bookmarks".
Step 3
Mozilla Firefox In the menu bar of the Mozilla Firefox browser, open the "Show all bookmarks" section and in the active "Library" window select "Import and Backup". Enter a name for the new file and save it. In the drop-down menu, click on the "Export bookmarks to HTML file" item. Subsequently, to restore your favorites, log into a new web browser, open the Import and Backup section, and select Import Bookmarks from HTML File.
Step 4
Google Chrome Save your favorites in the Google Chrome browser, enter its settings by clicking on the corresponding icon on the toolbar. Open the Bookmark Manager section, select Arrange and Export Bookmarks to HTML File. In the window that opens, specify a name for the file with bookmarks and save it in the specified folder. When you need to transfer your saved favorites to your new web browser, select Import Bookmarks from HTML File.
