In earlier versions of the Opera browser, you could set a password to launch it from the program settings menu. In recent versions, the developers have disabled this option, and in order to prevent Opera from starting without entering a password, you should use additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
For most users, we can recommend the Exe Password program, which works on any of the existing versions of Windows. You can download the program on the official website of the developers. You will find the download link in the Download section. After the installation file has been downloaded, run it and install the program.
Step 2
Now right-click on the Opera shortcut and select Password Protection from the context menu that appeared after installing the program. You will be presented with the Password Setting Wizard window. Enter your password in the New Password field and retype it in the Retype New P field. Click Next and then Finish. Start Opera and make sure that the password is set and you need to enter it to start the program.
